PSA Hot Melts for Hygiene Products
TH-6102 is a high-performance PSA hot melt engineered for hygiene product assembly, delivering aggressive tack and peel strength on PE films and nonwovens at coat weights as low as 1 gsm. The adhesive offers a wide 130–150 °C processing window, excellent thermal stability and a soft, flexible bond that survives repeated flexing and bodily fluids without edge lift. Its low odor, light color and compliant formulation make TH-6102 the preferred construction adhesive for baby diapers, feminine pads and adult incontinence articles.
Description
Key features
TH-6102 is a premium PSA Hot melts for Hygiene Products designed as a high-performance structure adhesive for modern disposable articles. The white-transparent appearance gives converters an aesthetic edge while allowing easy visual inspection on high-speed lamination lines. With a melt viscosity around 900 cps at 170 °C, the adhesive flows effortlessly through slot-die and spiral-spray nozzles, maintaining stable coat weights as low as 1 gsm without misting or stringing. Its carefully balanced softening point of 85–95 °C delivers a soft, flexible bond that survives body-temperature conditions yet resists cold-flow and edge-lift throughout warehousing and transport.
Because it is a true PSA Hot melts for Hygiene Products, TH-6102 develops instant tack on polyethylene back-sheets, breathable non-woven topsheets and elastic spandex, eliminating the need for mechanical entanglement or secondary tapes. The polymer backbone is engineered for superior thermal stability: after 72 h at 160 °C, viscosity rise is <10 %, which keeps pot-life long and cleaning intervals short on high-speed Nordson or ITW lines. The formulation is free from ROS, phthalates and fluorescent brighteners, meeting FDA/GB9685 indirect food-contact clauses and offering extremely low odor and extractables, a crucial benefit for baby-diaper and feminine-care applications.
TH-6102 also withstands the aggressive loadings of lotions, urine and menses surfactants. Bonds retain >80 % of original peel after 4 h immersion at 37 °C, preventing delamination during real-world use. Elastic attachment tests on 540 dtex spandex show <5 % creep after 1000 cycles at 200 % elongation, allowing thinner chassis and improved wearer comfort. The adhesive's broad service window (−20 °C to +65 °C) guarantees reliable performance in both winter warehouses and tropical markets.
In summary, TH-6102 combines optical clarity, low-temperature flexibility and robust adhesion to replace traditional rubber-based construction glues. Converters gain higher line speeds, reduced maintenance and a cleaner, safer product that meets the most stringent global hygiene standards.
