Spring Mattress Hot Melt Adhesive Model T230 is a polyolefin-based block specifically engineered for high-speed lamination of non-woven scrims, pocket-spring pockets and comfort layers inside modern spring-mattress lines. Offered in a natural-white, low-odor slug, T230 melts rapidly in standard 5–20 kg melters and delivers a clean, water-white film that disappears between dark or printed non-wovens, preserving the aesthetic of quilted panels. Its moderate 2 000 cPs viscosity at 170 °C allows precise, non-tailing application through spiral spray, melt-on-demand or slot-die heads while preventing soak-in on thin 15–30 gsm polypropylene or polyester webs, so glue consumption stays below 10 g m⁻² without sacrificing bond strength.

 

A sharply defined softening point of 107–117 °C gives T230 an optimal processing window: the adhesive becomes fully fluid at 160–180 °C for fast start-up, yet sets in 3–5 s on cooled calender rolls, enabling line speeds above 60 m min⁻¹ without pop-opens or edge lift. Once solidified, the flexible polyolefin backbone maintains peel values >8 N cm⁻¹ between non-woven and foam even after 80 000 dynamic cycles (ASTM F1566), while gap-filling ability accommodates the 1–3 mm loft of fiber pads and spring-unit non-wovens. The joint remains elastic from –20 °C to +85 °C, passing climatic-chamber tests at 70 °C/95 % RH for 168 h with no delamination or odor emission, so mattresses retain their integrity during vacuum packing, container shipping and long-term bedroom use.

 

Environmental responsibility is built into every gram of T230: the formulation is 100 % solids, zero-solvent, halogen-free and meets REACH, RoHS indirect-contact requirements, keeping workplace VOC emissions well below 100 μg m⁻³. Blocks are individually wrapped in low-melt EVA film that dissolves directly into the hot-melt tank, eliminating scrap packaging and reducing operator exposure. Clean machinability means fewer char build-ups, less downtime for nozzle purging and up to 30 % lower adhesive consumption compared with conventional EVA products, helping mattress manufacturers achieve both cost savings and sustainability targets without compromising the robust, silent bond that today's consumers expect from premium spring mattresses.
