Operating methods and manufacturing process of hot melt glue sticks

Operating Instructions

Hot melt glue sticks are used with a glue gun. To apply the glue, place the glue stick into the hot melt glue gun, plug it in and heat it for a while. Pull the trigger, and the glue will flow out. Alternatively, you can melt one end of the hot melt glue stick with a lighter, apply it to the area to be glued, and let it solidify after application. It's convenient and effective for bonding paper products, cardboard boxes, crafts, and handicrafts, providing a stronger bond than regular glue.

Production Process

Weigh the raw materials according to the hot melt glue stick formula and add them to the reaction vessel. Heat to melt and stir evenly. Then, cool the melted glue in the reaction vessel to a certain temperature and place it into an operating extruder. The extrusion speed can be selected according to the type of glue. The extruder forces hot melt adhesive through a circular extrusion orifice on the extruder head into a water tank. The hot melt adhesive immediately sets upon contact with the cooling water. The adhesive stick undergoes initial cooling and setting in the first cooling water tank, and is then pulled into a second cooling water tank by a traction machine. In the second cooling water tank, the adhesive sample is fully cooled and set. The speed of the adhesive stick in the water tank is controlled by the extruder's extrusion speed, ensuring synchronization between the traction machine's speed and the extruder's speed.

After adjusting and controlling the relationship between the extrusion speed, cooling and setting speed, and traction speed, the cooled adhesive sticks are then cut and packaged into finished products.
