The Difference Between Side Adhesive And Back Adhesive in Binding.

Bookbinding side adhesive is a type of glue used during bookbinding to bond the sides of pages together. Its main function is to strengthen the bond between pages, ensuring the overall stability and durability of the book. It is indispensable for thicker books.

Applying bookbinding side adhesive is simple. Stack the pages together, apply a layer of adhesive along the side edge, leaving a small gap between each layer so the pages can be opened and turned. After the adhesive dries, the pages will be tightly bonded together, forming a single unit.

Although both bookbinding side adhesive and back adhesive are commonly used in bookbinding, their applications and functions differ. Bookbinding side adhesive is primarily used to reinforce the connection between pages, ensuring the overall tightness and durability of the book; while back adhesive is mainly used to fix the book's spine to the cover or casing, providing both aesthetic appeal and protection.
