Introduction To Medical Hot Melt Adhesive

Medical hot melt adhesive is an environmentally friendly adhesive primarily composed of polymer materials, mainly used for bonding and encapsulating medical protective products such as medical masks, surgical gowns, and sterilization bags. This material, by adding core components such as modified carbonyl iron powder and polyethylene glycol graft copolymer, forms a three-dimensional network structure to enhance mechanical properties, possessing a technical characteristic of 16KN/m with a 180° U-shaped peel strength. Its formulation design complies with international FDA standards, is solvent-free, and has passed UV irradiation verification to avoid yellowing, meeting the microbial barrier and clean peel requirements of medical device packaging. In clinical applications, it exhibits excellent anti-condensation and anti-fouling properties and skin-friendliness, solving the problem of loss of adhesion in traditional products during strenuous exercise.

Medical hot melt adhesive uses polystyrene-polyisoprene-polystyrene triblock copolymer (SIS) grafted with polyethylene glycol (PEG) as the base material, and adds tetraethyl orthosilicate-modified carbonyl iron powder to improve dispersion stability. The formulation contains 38% hydrogenated petroleum resin and 12% naphthenic oil, and introduces superabsorbent polymer (SAP) resin to form a humidity control network.
