Introduction to hot melt adhesive for cardboard boxes

Hot melt adhesive for sealing cartons is an environmentally friendly adhesive used for sealing cardboard boxes. Introduced in the 1960s, it is primarily produced by melting the adhesive in a hot melt machine and then spraying it onto the surface of the cardboard box for bonding. Its core function is to replace traditional tape or sealing staples, and it is widely used in the logistics packaging field, especially among foreign-invested enterprises in Europe and America.

This product uses APAO (olefin copolymer) as its main raw material and is compatible with hot melt glue guns or fully automated equipment. It features rapid curing (≤3 seconds), low-temperature resistance (-40℃ to 80℃), and high bonding strength, enhancing the compression resistance of cardboard boxes and preventing deformation and cracking. Its penetrating bonding process can damage the cardboard fibers for anti-theft purposes without obstructing packaging printing. Compared to traditional tape, it has a shelf life of up to 2 years, reduces unit costs by approximately 75%, and is compatible with automated production lines, reducing downtime. The product has passed EU RoHS certification and SGS testing, meeting environmental export standards for the food, pharmaceutical, and electronics industries.
