Application of EVA hot melt adhesive
Leave a message
In my country, EVA hot melt adhesives used for binding are generally divided into high-speed and low-speed adhesives. High-speed adhesives cure slightly faster, while low-speed adhesives cure slightly slower. Depending on the substrate being bonded, they are further categorized into adhesives for offset paper, coated paper, etc., and there are back adhesives and side adhesives to suit the strength and needs of the materials being bonded, thus achieving a good bonding effect. Mastering the pre-use preparation procedures for hot melt adhesives is crucial, such as pre-bonding and temperature control.
1. Preheating of EVA Hot Melt Adhesive Before using EVA hot melt adhesive, the solid adhesive must first be preheated and melted. There are two preheating methods: one is oil bath preheating, i.e., jacketed melting pot preheating; the other is electric plate preheating, i.e., direct preheating using an electric heating plate device in the preheating melting pot. The preheating time is generally 2 hours. Once the adhesive reaches the required heating temperature and has good fluidity, it is considered preheated successfully. Then, the adhesive is released through a constant temperature pipeline into a working adhesive pot at a temperature of 160-200℃ for gluing and binding books, notebooks, etc.
2. Adhesion and Suitability of EVA Hot Melt Adhesive In actual production, the adhesion of hot melt adhesive varies depending on factors such as the heating temperature of the hot melt adhesive, the different materials and their quality, the width and depth of the milling back, the height of the adhesive application, and the operating speed of the perfect binding machine.
